Tough Love Records Compilation CD
Released in an edition of 500 on 18th September 2006
Souvaris finally give some love back to their Coventry roots (Ian and Dan both originally hail from there) by donating an ambient remix of "I Felt Nothing At All"'s ultimate behemoth to a compilation celebrating a year of existence by Cov-based label Tough Love Records. This MATHMIX was conceived and executed almost entirely by Dan, fuelled by patronising thumbs-up signs and glowing references to Stars Of The Lid by the rest of the band. It was built Coldcut-style, entirely from samples of the finished track ripped from a CD (it transpired that the master tapes/data for "I Felt Nothing At All" were lost earlier in 2006).
Notable other tracks by friends, associates and bands we like include The Sequins, Don't Move, Pictures Paint Words, Honeytrap and Smokers Die Younger. We don't have any copies of this compilation, though Ian swears his is down the back of a sofa or something at his parents' house. Part of a series of dirt-cheap (€4!) sampler compilations showcasing new and exciting musical acts put out by French music behemoths FNAC. Quite why they asked us to appear on it we don't really know. We submitted an edit of "I Felt Nothing At All" track 'Art as Survival/Survival as Art' which basically kicks in from the beginning of the krautrock-tastic section 11 minutes into the original. It was available to purchase for a semi-limited time from FNAC stores in France.

Special limited edition compilation available to those who attended the very wonderful Rhaaa Lovely Festival held in Belgium in April 2004. Briefly also available from their online shop, but now apparently OUT OF PRINT. Our track was the dictaphone recording of "Nothing of how to live, only to get and get and get;" that cropped up on our first 2 Tour CDRs and will soon be available to download as an MP3 again.

Track contributed: "We Cannot Help But We Cannot Agree" - a reworked version of one of our earliest songs.
Recorded and mixed in two parts in the space of a few hours one summery Sunday in a tiny room at a church in Oxford. The organisers wanted to put our original demo track (available to download from the 'Sounds' page) on the compilation, but we insisted on re-recording it. Now we sorta wish we hadn't bothered - this is probably our lowest recorded point. 300 copies of the CDs were pressed.
